Opportunities

Nick is eager to mentor and provide guidance to trainees at all levels. Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome!

Candidates interested in postdoctoral positions should reach out to Nick by email and provide a statement of interest and a current CV.

Prospective Ph.D. students may also contact Nick by email. Please note that all admission decisions are made by the College of Science and require a formal application. Please visit: https://cos.northeastern.edu/admissions/ for further details.

Undergraduate students are welcome! Research opportunities can take many forms and include research for credit, CO-OP opportunities, and voluntary positions. Please contact Nick by email. Please make sure to include the following:

  1. A statement of interest that discusses how the research opportunity in the Takacs lab fits within your broader career development plan.
  2. A current CV.
  3. A summary of classes taken and in progress, accompanied by grades (an unofficial transcript is fine).
  4. Your availability to work in the lab during business hours. Please note that the need to provide adequate training and ensure a safe research environment dictates that students without or with limited prior research experience can only perform wet lab research during business hours.

Thanks to Sammy Katta for generating Diversity and Inclusion Lab Posters that inspired our own poster!
